Welcome to Phendeling Center for Tibetan Buddhisme, located on Nørregade in Copenhagen, just opposite the Church of Our Lady (Vor Frue Kirke) and a stone’s throw away from Gammel Torv and Strøget.
WHAT IS PHENDELING?
Phendeling means “a place for nurturing peace and harmony” and is also the name of Lakha Lama’s monastery in Batang, Tibet.
Phendeling’s primary function is to offer the entire Buddhist community a place where meditation, meetings, and courses – as well as cultural activities – can be held. Our temple is decorated and arranged in such a manner that all Tibetan groups will feel welcome.
Phendeling is a non-profit organization whose board consists of members from various Buddhist traditions who have some connection to Lakha Lama, Phendeling’s spiritual leader.
Phendeling has been recognized by the Danish authorities as a religious organization and therefore can perform weddings.
