What Is Essential? The Inseparable Nature of the Consciousness of Self, Other and the Divine.
We are relational beings. We evolve in consciousness through relationship. And yet, very often we don’t feel connected and our strategies to create connection frequently result in misunderstanding and even conflict.
When we live from our ego identity, we don’t realize how disconnected we are from our true conscious self. Out of this unconscious distance from our true selves we then project our own judgments and fears as well as our admiration on the “other”. We diminish or expand the other into an extension of our own ego-psychology, not an individual seen for who they really are. As a result, intimacy and belonging becomes impossible. We react, comment, and judge, and in doing so we actually damage and even avoid the very relationship(s) we hunger for.
In nature, in the universe, everything is interconnected. There is no “I”, there is only “We”. Experiencing this sense of interconnectedness — The I That Is We — is essential.
During this seminar, through very accessible awareness practices and experiential processes Richard Moss has developed, we will become aware of how the relationship we have with ourselves is inseparable from our relationship with others and with everything around us. Simultaneously, it is fundamentally inseparable from our relationship with the Divine, that deeper intelligence that goes beyond our understanding; the “sublime” mystery as Richard likes to call it. We are an expression of mystery and we express mystery. Rather than asking what we want to receive from this mystery, this seminar invites us to open to mystery in such a way that it enriches our relationships with each other and our world.
Richard has been teaching for more than 36 years. In 1976, he experienced a “radical transformation” and abandoned the practice of conventional medicine to devote himself to the exploration of consciousness. Based on his deep understanding of the process of transformation, he guides groups in exploring conscious relationships, with oneself, with others, with life.
Richard summarizes his teaching on consciousness of the last 36 years by saying: “The greatest gift that we offer ourselves and our relationships is the quality of our presence”. His methodology is based on the transformative potential of engaging our thoughts and feelings in the present moment. Transformation can only take place Now.
The seminar is in English and will be translated into French by Deborah Bacon Dilts.
